A small group of exiles had returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple and city. 

성전과 도시를 재건하기 위해 소수의 유배자들이 예루살렘으로 돌아왔습니다. 

The struggle for survival and the opposition from neighbors discouraged them. 

생존을 위한 투쟁과 이웃들의 반대는 그들을 낙담시켰습니다. 

Just like them we need to remember that our God is all-powerful.                     He can do anything! 

그들처럼 우리도 우리 하나님은 전능하신 분이라는 사실을 기억해야 합니다.     그분은 무엇이든 하실 수 있습니다!

When we confront a seemingly impossible task, remember and believe what Jesus said in Matthew 19:26.

불가능해 보이는 일에 직면할 때 마태복음 19:26절의 예수님 말씀을 기억하고 믿으십시오.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”In one is the warning of wrath. 

“사람으로는 할 수 없으되 하나님으로서는 다 할 수 있느니라.“ 하나는 진노에 대한 경고입니다. 

In the other the protection from wrath.      In the other the full restoration of God’s blessings.   The purpose of both is the same:

다른 하나는 진노로부터의 보호입니다.     다른 하나는 하나님의 축복의 완전한 회복입니다.   두 가지의 목적은 동일합니다:

repent and live righteously.      In chapter 7, God’s people are to repent and live righteously in light of punishment. 

회개하고 의롭게 사는 것입니다.                      7장에서 하나님의 백성은 형벌에 비추어 회개하고 의롭게 살아야 합니다. 

Here in chapter 8, they are to repent and live righteously because of the promise of future restoration.

여기 8장에서는 미래의 회복에 대한 약속 때문에 회개하고 의롭게 살아야 합니다.

But the keynote here is that there is a great restoration awaiting the faithful people of God.

그러나 여기서 중요한 것은 신실한 하나님의 백성을 기다리는 위대한 회복이 있다는 것입니다.

And the only way to be a faithful people of God is to believe God and accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

그리고 신실한 하나님의 백성이 되는 유일한 길은 하나님을 믿고 예수님을 구세주와 주님으로 영접하는 것입니다.
